Just got home from a trip to my old stomping grounds in the Alps. I spent 10 days shooting in Serre Chevalier with Andrew 'Noddy' Gowans (more about Noddy here) and Darren Turner, then continued on for a couple of days in the Chamonix Valley and a brief visit to Tignes, before braving the interminable drive home.
It was great to be back on snow, filming a sport that I love. After an unpredictable season for sun we managed to turn up at the start of the only prolonged period of sun they'd had all season, Noddy attributed it to his cloud-staring ability - a trick he picked up from the US military (have you seen 'The Men Who Stare At Goats'?). Below is a quick edit giving a glimpse of what I shot, stay tuned for news of the project towards the end of the summer!
